Mewar University joins hands with Channel One to launch media courses in July session

 

Mewar University and Channel One News have come together to launch joint courses in Media & Mass Communication in view of the growing significance of this field in today’s globalized scenario.  The phenomenal growth of Mass Communication in India has coincided with the country’s rapid economic growth. The study of Media & Mass Communication, including all types of medium used to convey information to the audience, such as newspapers, magazines, films, radio, television, websites, etc. has assumed immense importance in view of the globally connected world that we live in today.  

From employment perspective also, the students of Mass Communication programs find work in a variety of fields in news media and publishing, public relations and research institutes. The field of communication has always been a challenging one, and there has been a dearth of professionals with required skill set. This fast growing industry is looking for enterprising professionals. 

Mewar University has chosen Channel One News as a partner in these educational programs. It is a 24- hour Hindi News Channel, covering National and International news, with about 50 bureaus, 200 reporters and 50 stringers all over India. They entered in Electronic Media in June, 2009 and launched 24X7 Hindi news channel called Channel One. The channel provides latest news, exclusive interviews, etc.

Mewar University will be offering the following courses with effect from July 2013 session in collaboration with Channel One News:

1. Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC)

Eligibility: 10+2 from recognized board or equivalent. 

Fees Structure: Rs. 50,000/- (semester)

Examination Fees: Rs. 3000/- (Year)

2. Post Graduate Research Integrated in Journalism & Mass Communication (MJMC)

 Eligibility: UG degree   from any recognized university is required.

Fees Structure: Rs. 50,000/- (semester)

Examination Fees: Rs. 3000/- (Year)

3. Post Graduate Research Integrated (PGRI) Program

Eligibility:Candidate must have obtained at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA at the graduation level from a university recognized by UGC.

Fees Structure: Rs. 50,000/- (P.G)

                       Rs. 1,50,000/- (Ph.D.)

Examination Fees: Rs. 3000/- (Year)

4. Ph.D in Journalism and Mass Communication

  Eligibility:  Candidate must have obtained at least 55% marks in PG degree in respective subject of specialization.

  Fees Structure: Rs. 1,50,000/-
