Worldwide, women continue to contribute to social, economic, cultural and political achievements. Same time the progress towards the gender parity has slowed down in many places. As per the World Economic Forum prediction in the year 2014, was that it would take 2095 to achieve global gender parity, however one year later in 2015, they estimated a slowed down progress in the already glacial pace of progress. This meant that gender parity wouldn’t be achieved until 2133. On the occasion of International Women’s Day – 2019, The Deaprtment of Electrical Engineering of Mewar University organised events for the womanhood of Mewar University. International women’s Day 2019 – Celebration at Mewar University was on 8th March 2019,11:00 AM onwards at Vivekananda Seminar Hall. Some NGO Ladies given Presentation on Internation Women day, and give some new ideas. There were some recreation programs like ‘Choose & Sing’ and ‘Pass – Pass’ for all lady staff members and students of Mewar University.
